Emma Charlotte Duerre was Born to Lawyer parents Jacqueline and Chris in Paris, France on April 15th 1990. Her parents divorced when Emma was 5 years old which is when Emma and her brother Alex (3 years Emma’s junior) Moved to Oxfordshire and lived with their mother.

At the age of 7 Emma won 1st prize in a school poetry recital: The Daisy Pratt poetry competition. Emma was just 9 years old when casting agents travelled to many different schools in England looking for talented children to audition for the parts of Harry, Ron and Hermione in the upcoming Harry Potter movies. Emma recalls that she auditioned for the part as Hermione because her friends did and she thought it would “be a laugh”, her drama teacher at the time recommended Emma to the casting agents who obviously saw the same potential in her and was short listed for the role after several auditions. After being paired with several different “Ron’s” and several different “Harry’s”, Emma was called into the producers office alongside Rupert Grint who were both told at the same time that they had won the parts as Hermione and Ron.

At the age of 10, Emma began filming the her first role as Hermione Granger in: Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone – the first instalment of the Harry Potter movies taken from the hugely popular books written by J.K Rowling. Even though Ms Rowling had not yet met Emma, she had said that after a chat on the phone with her she knew there and then that she was absolutely perfect for the role as the books main female character Hermione Granger.

Emma Watson made her big-screen debut in 2001’s box-office smash Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, bringing to life Hermione Granger, friend to the famous protagonist Harry Potter of J.K. Rowling’s children’s novel. Born in Paris, where she lived for the first five years of her life, Watson acted only in school plays before breaking into Hollywood with this film, but her performance skills had been honed through dancing, singing, and poetry recitals, the latter of which she had already received recognition for by the age of seven. In the years following that blockbuster, she reprised her role alongside co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint for the subsequent beloved Harry Potter films. A self-avowed serious student at an all-girls school in Oxford, England, Watson signed on for the final two installments of the series, but decided to temporarily put further project offers aside to focus on her studies

iAlicia Silverstone wants to get naked, if PETA will have her.

Hollywood stunner Alicia Silverstone is becoming as well known for animal cruelty campaigning as she is for acting.

Umm, she’s not really known for acting, is she? She’s known for being gorgeous.

The beauty who found fame as bratty Cher in Clueless, recently won the title of the world’s sexiest vegetarian in a recent poll.

That’s not exactly a big competition, is it? How many sexy vegetarians are there? Most of them look emaciated and ill.

But the star is now looking to break out of her prim and proper appearence recently telling the sun newspaper she wouldn’t rule out joining Pamela Anderson in baring all for anti-fur charity PETA. Stunning Alicia, 29, was quoted as saying “I really respect the people who do it, I think it’s wonderful. “I’d maybe do it, I wouldn’t rule it out but I think so many people are doing it the message is getting across anyway which is fantastic.”

Does she really think people are re-thinking their clothing purchases because a few B-list celebrities are posing naked–but covered up in such a way that one really doesn’t see anything–for a nutjob animal rights organization? Really?

The star animal rights supporter has also gone on record blasting fur-wearing celebrities like Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez. Silverstone says “I hope people look at them and think it looks ugly. I hope they look at them and think, ‘Those poor girls, why do they feel they have to wear fur?’ “When I see someone wearing it I think they must be either really stupid or just evil and don’t care.

Evil? Is it really evil to wear a fur coat? Because, what, animals raised specifically for the purpose of having their skins used for clothing are being killed? It’s not as if they’re skinning them alive.

Ah, well, she’s not exactly known for her deep insights. She’s still a nice looking girl, though, as these photos demonstrate:
